Nature Canada joined FLAP Canada’s Executive Director, Michael Mesure, and Volunteer & Campaigns Coordinator, Kaitlin Brough to learn more about Global Bird Rescue Week (GBR). GBR is FLAP Canada’s annual weeklong event designed to raise awareness about bird building collisions and to inspire bird-safe window retrofits across the globe.
Michael and Kaitlin will guide you through the following processes during the webinar:
- How to register for Global Bird Rescue (GBR)
- How to use the Global Bird Collision Mapper App
- Using our Bird-Friendly Building Survey App, designed to help Bird Friendly City Teams track bird-friendly building design and window retrofits in your regions.
September 23rd through 29th 2024, Bird-Friendly City Teams, members of the public, birding and naturalist clubs, conservation, banding and collision monitoring groups from around the world will go out to search, rescue and document birds that have collided with buildings in their community to advance birdsafe planning.
